Culturally Responsive Teaching
Understanding students’ lives can help teachers foster a sense of belonging and ensure that all students feel respected and challenged. ProgressED offers support through personalized learning coaches (PLC), professional development, training modules and webinars. Our training provides practical ways to create and maintain progress toward equity in schools and the classroom.
Community Engagement
An involved community directly corelates to a successful school. ProgressED provides training and support for creating a family and community engagement plan, hosting and facilitating parent and community meetings for school improvement, and creating a school’s Title One plan.
Student Leadership
Students who know how to effectively use voice and choice in their learning process are higher achievers and lifelong learners. ProgressED provides training and support to help schools assist students to take ownership of their own learning, while reflecting on their behavior.
Instructional Leadership
Supportive work environments attract education professionals who thrive at work and love what they do. ProgressED ensures that your school operates as a high-functioning professional learning community by implementing engaging leadership strategies and instructional models that have been proven to accelerate student achievement and improve staff retention.
Targeted Instruction
Meeting students at their level allows them to grow without gaps, or lags, in learning, and keeps them aptly prepared for whatever comes next. ProgressED teaches teachers how to use data to identify and categorize student needs and provide instruction to meet those needs via adaptive content and small group instruction. Teachers use continual assessment and observation to determine initial learning levels and measure student progress. Every teacher who has transformed their classroom and career with this model will tell you, “I would never go back” to former methods of instruction.
Data-Driven Decision
Assessing a student’s strengths and challenges in the classroom throughout the year does away with time wasted between annual assessments. ProgressED teaches teachers how to use a systematic approach to analyze students’ performance, what they know, what they are able to do, and where the gaps are in their learning. Teachers rely on this data to improve students’ learning throughout the year.
Student Agency
Critical thinking, articulation, and assessment skills are just some of the qualities employers and colleges look for in a well-prepared candidate. ProgressED builds school environments where students advocate for the needs, interests, and aspirations for themselves and their classroom community. Students own their learning and work towards mastery of standards.
Digital Content
Harnessing the power of technology for content delivery that challenges students and staff is part of a high-performing 21st Century model. ProgressED is experienced in helping schools find the right-fit digital content that allows for differentiation, learning pathways, remediation, and acceleration.
